Key Features
The NiSi 43mm Black Mist Kit bundles 1/4 and 1/8 strength diffusion filters with a case, built for photographers who want to try Black Mist's cinematic softening at two common starting strengths. Lower contrast and diffused highlights are aimed at portrait shooters covering blemishes and wrinkles, while landscape and night photographers use the same effect to add glow around light sources. NiSi recommends 1/4 for stills and 1/8 for filming as a starting point.
- Includes 1/4 and 1/8 strength filters: Effect strength roughly doubles with each grade increase from 1/8 to 1/2.
- Suppresses highlights, lifts shadows: Balances contrast for a cinematic look on both stills and video.
- Recommended starting strengths: 1/4 for still photography, 1/8 for filming, per NiSi's own guidance.
- Multi-scene application: Used in portrait, night, landscape, and still life photography.
- Includes a case: Keeps both filter strengths organized and protected.
