The FieldCast Mux Two and Demux Two (Plus) pair transports eight independent 3G SDI channels plus an Ethernet connection over a single strand of single-mode fiber. It's built for productions with limited fiber runs or a need to minimize cable count in the field, without giving up channel density or a data connection. Because the signal path is unprocessed, it integrates directly into an existing SDI infrastructure.
- 8-channel 3G SDI plus Ethernet: Combines eight independent 3G (2.97GHz) SDI channels and an Ethernet connection onto one fiber strand.
- SMPTE compliant: Meets SMPTE 259M, 344M, 292M, and 424M, accepting all SD and HD standards up to 1080p60.
- Lossless signal path: No processing is applied to the SDI signal, so what goes in comes out unchanged.
- CWDM multiplexing technology: Robust thin-film wavelength-division multiplexing carries all eight channels over the unit's maximum rated fiber distance.
- 1RU all-aluminum enclosure: Rack-mount design with LED indicators for power, per-channel activity, and SDI signal presence.
