Description
The Blackmagic Design Ultimatte 12 HD is a real-time chroma keyer and compositing processor built for broadcast graphics work that needs photorealistic composites rather than a basic green-screen key. Its per-camera design lets each camera in a multi-camera shoot get its own dedicated keyer tuned to that camera's specific view, aimed at broadcast news, sports, and virtual-set productions.
- Advanced Edge and Spill Processing: New algorithms improve color separation, edge handling, and spill suppression, even in dark shadow areas or through transparent objects.
- Layer Compositing Mode: Adds realistic tinted or translucent objects, such as colored glass, over the composited foreground.
- Built-In Frame Stores: Loads pre-rendered background stills internally, so you can build virtual sets without a live video source for every input.
- Up to 7 Input Connections: Supports foreground, background, holdout and garbage mattes, and additional layer inputs for compositing.
- Monitor Cascade: Daisy-chains up to eight Ultimatte units over SDI to a single monitor with near-zero-latency clean switching.
- Free Ultimatte Software Control: Mac and Windows software for uploading frame stores and adjusting every compositing setting.
