Description
This Mini Converter embeds analog or digital audio into an SDI video signal, letting you add sound from an audio mixer or analog deck to SDI-based routers, decks, or other converters. It handles up to 4 channels of analog audio or 8 channels of AES/EBU digital audio through the same 1/4" jack connections, switchable between the two audio types from a side-mounted switch, so one unit covers both use cases rather than needing separate hardware. A redundant SDI input and loop-through output make it suitable for mission-critical broadcast or live event use.
- 4-channel analog or 8-channel AES/EBU audio embedding: switchable audio type from standard 1/4" jack connections, no custom cables needed.
- Auto SD/HD switching: supports NTSC, PAL, 1080i, 1080psf, and 720p formats, with new formats addable via USB.
- Redundant SDI input: automatically fails over to a backup input cable if the main SDI input is lost.
- Loop-through SDI output: chain to another Mini Converter to de-embed additional audio channels beyond the base 2.
