The Sony UTX-M40 is a handheld wireless transmitter for the UWP-D series, built around a rugged, all-metal body with a dynamic, cardioid capsule tuned to focus on the presenter and reject background noise. It shares the UWP-D line's digital audio processing and NFC SYNC pairing, and its interchangeable head accepts capsules from other manufacturers for specialized use. This UC90 band model tunes 941–960 MHz, ideal where UC14/UC25 spectrum is congested.
