The Sony MEAD-SD02 lets XDCAM EX camcorders record to standard SDHC or SDXC memory cards instead of professional SxS media, a useful fallback when extra SxS cards aren't on hand or when cost matters more than peak throughput. It's shaped to fit the camcorder's ExpressCard/34 slot with the media cover closed.
Key Specifications
- Format: ExpressCard/34, accepts one SDHC or SDXC card.
- Compatibility: XDCAM EX camcorders including PMW-EX1, EX3, EX30, F3, and PMW-100/150/200 (firmware-dependent); check current-generation models before purchase.
- Recommended media: Class 10 SDHC or UHS Speed Class 1 SDXC cards.
- Note: Not recommended for Slow Motion recording due to SD card speed limits.
- Dimensions: 34 x 5 x 75mm; weight approx. 20g (card not included).
