The Sony ECM-66B is a miniature cardioid lapel microphone designed for voice and instrument pickup in noisy environments. The cardioid polar pattern lets it be aimed at the sound source while rejecting unwanted background noise and reducing feedback in PA systems, and it ships with an integral power barrel terminated in a standard XLR connector for wired use.
