The Sony ECM-55B is an omnidirectional lavalier microphone and successor to the classic ECM-50, offering a wider frequency response and higher SPL handling for broadcast and stage work. It ships with a power unit supporting either an internal AA battery or 12-48V phantom power, terminated in a standard XLR connector.
