The Sony DC-78 is an inline battery power unit that turns Sony's wireless-ready ECM-44BC/77BC/88BC and ECM-90BC lavalier microphones into standard wired XLR mics, so the same capsule can move between wireless and wired setups. It runs on a single AA battery or external 12–48V phantom power.
