The Sony ADP-MAA lets you keep using your favorite Auto-Lock Accessory Shoe gear—flashes, lights, and more—on a camera that has moved to Sony's newer Multi Interface Shoe. It's a small, light adapter that snaps onto the MI Shoe and recreates the Auto-Lock mount underneath, so switching camera bodies doesn't mean replacing your accessory collection.
