This is the world's first fisheye lens with an f/1.8 maximum aperture, letting you use fast shutter speeds for fisheye effects in low light — underwater or at night — where a typical f/2.8-4 fisheye would force a slow shutter or high ISO. A 180° field of view captures a full panoramic perspective, and Olympus's PRO-series edge-to-edge sharpness holds up even wide open. Weather-sealing at five separate locations and a freeze-proof rating down to 14°F (-10°C) make it rugged enough for the same outdoor and nature work it's optically suited for.
