The MOTU ZBox is an impedance-matching box built for guitarists using amp-modeling plugins like Amplitube, Waves GTR, Native Instruments Guitar Rig, or Digital Performer's Custom '59. It's for musicians who plug a guitar directly into an audio interface and want the tone and feel of a real guitar amp input rather than a standard mic/instrument preamp input. ZBox sits between the guitar and the interface to correct the mismatch in input impedance that software alone can't replicate.
