MOTU ZBox
Key Features
The MOTU ZBox is an impedance-matching box built for guitarists using amp-modeling plugins like Amplitube, Waves GTR, Native Instruments Guitar Rig, or Digital Performer's Custom '59. It's for musicians who plug a guitar directly into an audio interface and want the tone and feel of a real guitar amp input rather than a standard mic/instrument preamp input. ZBox sits between the guitar and the interface to correct the mismatch in input impedance that software alone can't replicate.
- Impedance Matching Circuit: Matches your guitar's output impedance to the impedance of a non-amp input, such as an interface's mic/instrument preamp input.
- Analog Grid Tube Simulation: Emulates the two-jack switching network and input tube grid found on classic amplifiers for more authentic feel.
- Works with Amp-Modeling Plugins: Designed to improve the authenticity of guitar tones from Amplitube, Waves GTR, Native Instruments Guitar Rig, and similar software.
