MOTU 4pre

The MOTU 4pre is a compact audio interface with four mic preamps built for live recording in both studio and stage settings. Its combo-style inputs and hands-on mixing controls are designed to handle everything from vocal sessions to multi-mic drum recording.

• Four mic preamps in a half-rack size: Fits four mic inputs into an 8.5 x 7 x 1.75 inch chassis alongside additional professional audio connections.
• Flexible combo inputs: Inputs 1-2 accept line-level signals like a synth or keyboard; inputs 3-4 are hi-Z DI inputs for plugging in an electric guitar directly.
• Front-panel mixing: Each input has its own volume control and can route to any output pair (main outs, line outs, S/PDIF out, phones) with independent mixes.
• CueMix FX software: Included Mac/Windows software gives on-screen control of up to four separate stereo mixes, plus a tuner, oscilloscope, FFT/spectrogram, and phase analysis tools.
• AudioDesk workstation software: Included Mac OS X DAW software provides recording, editing, mixing, processing, and mastering.
• Rack-mountable aluminum chassis: Durable metal housing can be joined with another MOTU half-rack interface using included brackets for standard 19-inch rack mounting.
