The Irix Edge MMS Black Mist Magnetic Filter SR (1/4) is one of Irix's three Black Mist intensities, built as a magnetic filter for IRIX Cine lenses that also works with other lens brands. It diffuses light and lowers contrast while preserving dark image detail, creating a subtle halo around bright light sources rather than an overall haze. Because it holds a consistent, unaltered color rendition, it adds a cinematic softness to portraits, night photography, or landscapes without shifting the scene's actual color.
- 1/4 stop diffusion strength: A moderate option among Irix's three Black Mist intensities (1/2, 1/4, 1/8).
