Description
The P4K is built around a full-size 1" Sony Exmor R CMOS sensor, larger than most PTZ cameras use, delivering 14.4 million effective pixels in 4K with Full Bandwidth NDI rather than the more compressed NDI|HX standard. That distinction matters for image quality: Full NDI is a variable bitrate, I-frame codec running around 140Mbit at 1080p60 and is visually lossless, versus NDI|HX's long-GOP H.264 compression at around 12Mbit. Beyond broadcast and sports use, the P4K supports cinematic frame rates like 24p, and Genlock input lets you synchronize multiple cameras into an NDI-enabled vision mixer without needing separate frame buffers.
- 1" Sony Exmor R CMOS sensor: 14.4 million effective pixels, excellent low-light sensitivity for broadcast, sports, and house-of-worship use.
- Full Bandwidth NDI: visually lossless, variable-bitrate I-frame codec (~140Mbit at 1080p60), not the more compressed NDI|HX.
- 10-bit sensor with NDI4: enables an end-to-end 10-bit workflow for broadcasters.
- Cinematic frame rate support: including 24p alongside standard broadcast rates like 29.97; user-selectable gamma and black gamma adjustment.
- Genlock input: synchronizes multiple cameras into an NDI vision mixer without extra frame buffers; two independent 6G-SDI outputs plus HDMI 2.0.
- 360° tally lighting: front, rear, and side tally lights combine for all-around on-air visibility.
