The Canon XA65 Professional UHD 4K Camcorder is a compact ENG-style camcorder built for documentary and journalism-style production work. It's aimed at videographers who need UHD 4K capture, dual XLR audio, and both HDMI and 3G-SDI outputs in a lightweight, run-and-gun body. USB Type-C UVC output adds direct livestreaming to a computer without extra capture hardware.

- Dual XLR Inputs, 4-Channel Audio: Two XLR inputs with phantom power plus a 3.5mm stereo mini input support up to four channels of LPCM audio in 720p mode.
- UVC Livestreaming over USB-C: Streams HD video directly to a Windows or macOS computer over USB-C via UVC, without needing a separate capture card.
- Hybrid AF with Face Detection: An advanced Hybrid AF system with Face Detection and Face Tracking is adjustable for focusing speed, set via the touchscreen or focus ring.
- OSD Timecode Recording: Embeds date, time, and timecode into camera files for legal and law enforcement documentation requirements.
