- Focal Length: 85mm — the classic cinema portrait and tight-shot prime
- Maximum Aperture: T1.3 — outstanding low-light capability and shallow depth of field
- Mount: Canon EF (Cinema Lock mount)
- Iris: 11-blade rounded iris for exceptionally smooth, circular bokeh wide open
- Focus Ring: Long rotational focus throw for smooth, precise focus pulls
- Gearing: Industry-standard 0.8 mod gear teeth on focus and iris rings — works with all follow focus systems and matte boxes
- Coatings: Multi-layer anti-reflective coatings that handle practical lighting and mixed sources with minimal flare
A must-have focal length for dramatic portraiture, interview setups, and close-up product or cosmetics work. Part of the Canon CN-E Cinema Prime series — lenses designed to deliver a consistent cinematic character and matched color across a full production kit.
