Softron OnTheAir Video Express 4

Softron OnTheAir Video Express 4 is an affordable playout application for the Mac, built for live productions that need to run reliable playlists without the cost of a full broadcast automation system. It uses the same playout engine as Softron's higher-end OnTheAir products, without the graphics overlay and smart-resize features.

• Mix-and-Match Codec Playback: Plays Apple ProRes, Avid DNxHD, DVCPRO HD, H.264, MPEG-2, and XDCAM EX/HD clips in the same playlist without extra codec installs.
• Automatic Resolution Scaling: Clips of different resolutions in the same playlist are automatically scaled using letterbox, pan and scan, or fill.
• Still Image & Alpha Channel Playback: Plays still images with a set duration alongside video, and supports clips with alpha channels.
• GPI Switcher Control: Triggers clip playback directly from a production switcher's GPI output (with GPI Commander).
• Multi-Channel Playout: The Quad version can play out up to 4 simultaneous HD channels on one Mac, one license per channel.
