The Opticis M13R2VIDU Stretch DVI Dual Link Extension Module extends dual-link DVI signal over fiber optic cable, supporting WQXGA (2,560x1,600) resolution at distances up to 2km (6,600 feet) -- well past what copper DVI cabling can reliably carry. The transmitter and receiver box each carry a female dual-link DVI-D plug, connecting a PC or media receiver on one end to a monitor or HDTV on the other over duplex LC fiber patch cords.
- 2km Dual-Link DVI Extension: extends WQXGA (2,560x1,600) resolution DVI signal up to 2km (6,600 feet) over fiber.
- Two Duplex LC Fiber Cables: transmit graphic data across 7 channels including a clock signal.
- Self-EDID Programming: the module handles its own EDID programming for a purely optical interconnection, simplifying setup at displays of varying resolution.
- DDC Over CAT5e: DDC connection is implemented over a CAT5e cable with an RJ-45 connector.
- Optical Advantages: no EMI/RFI emissions, lightweight rugged cabling, low power consumption, and easier installation than long-run copper DVI.
