The EtherWAN 8-Port Gigabit PoE plus 2 Dual-Rate Gigabit SFP Ports switch (EX78900E Series) is a hardened, DIN-rail mounted platform built for mission-critical PoE installations. It's aimed at installers connecting outdoor PTZ cameras, wireless access points, PoE LED lighting, and other power-hungry devices that need long-distance or high-power PoE options. Extensive management features support both basic plug-and-play deployments and more complex managed networks.
- Up to 60W per Port, 240W Budget: Delivers up to 60W per port across 8-12 gigabit PoE ports with a total 240W power budget.
- Long-Distance PoE Mode: An extended-distance PoE mode reaches installation distances up to 820ft, with a PoE watchdog that auto-power-cycles unresponsive devices.
- Dual-Rate Gigabit SFP Uplinks: Up to 4 dual-rate gigabit SFP ports provide flexible fiber uplink options.
- Remote Authentication and VLAN Support: Supports RADIUS/TACACS+ authentication, port security, IGMP snooping, port-based VLAN, and link aggregation.
- -40 to 75°C Hardened Rating: Operates in harsh environments with high ESD, shock, and vibration resistance.
