Key Features
The Corning 30 Meter USB 3 A to uB Optical Cable is built for integrators and engineers who need to run USB 3.1 data far beyond copper cable limits. It's aimed at installers connecting cameras, capture devices, or storage over long distances without a USB extender box. An all-metal housing keeps EMI performance clean even in busy equipment racks.
- USB 3.1 Gen 1 over 50m Fiber: Carries USB 3.1 Gen 1 (5Gb/s) data over optical fiber up to 50 meters.
- Bus-Powered Design: Delivers bus power over two copper wires alongside the optical data path, with built-in overcurrent protection.
- All-Metal EMI-Shielded Housing: An all-metal housing provides superior EMI performance.
- USB3 Vision Locking Screws: The Micro-B device connector includes USB3 Vision locking screws to prevent accidental disconnection.
- USB 3.1 Host/Peripheral Only: Compatible with USB 3.1 hosts and peripherals only (not backward compatible with USB 2.0).
