The Blackmagic Design Teranex Mini - HDMI to Optical 12G converts HDMI sources to both 12G optical fiber and 12G-SDI, built for broadcast engineers who need to bring consumer HDMI cameras into an SDI or fiber-based production workflow. An HD-to-Ultra-HD up-converter and embedded audio/timecode support round out the conversion feature set.
- HDMI to Fiber and SDI Conversion: Converts HDMI to both 12G optical fiber and 12G-SDI simultaneously, supporting SD, HD, 6G, and 12G-SDI rates.
- Built-In Up-Converter: Converts HD sources up to Ultra HD, useful for integrating consumer HDMI cameras into UHD broadcast workflows.
- Embedded Audio and Timecode: Embeds audio from balanced analog or AES/EBU sources, plus timecode input on the right XLR channel.
- Automatic Multi-Rate Switching: Automatically switches between SD/HD/2K and 4K signal rates from the same HDMI input.
- USB and Ethernet Updates: Firmware updates and configuration are managed via USB or Ethernet, with an optional smart panel remote available.
