The Blackmagic Design Micro Converter - BiDirect SDI/HDMI 12G with PSU is a tiny broadcast video converter built to connect consumer HDMI gear with professional SDI equipment on set. Its bidirectional design converts SDI to HDMI and HDMI to SDI at the same time.
- Bidirectional SDI/HDMI Conversion: Converts in both directions simultaneously, supporting SD, HD, and Ultra HD formats up to 2160p60.
- Camera Control Protocol Passthrough: Lets Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Cameras work with professional live production switchers, with tally and remote recording control passed through in reverse.
- USB-Powered, Rugged Metal Enclosure: Can run from a TV, laptop, or included international power supply; a miniaturized, precision-engineered build that's easy to keep spares of on set.
- Re-Clocking for Long Cable Runs: Regenerates and cleans up degraded SDI signals, extending usable cable distance to distant switchers.
- HDR, LUTs, and Rec.2020/Rec.709 Support: Passes through PQ, HLG, and static/dynamic metadata per ST2084/ST2108-1, with monitoring LUTs applied in the output processor.
