The MID49 Base Kit for RED Komodo and Komodo-X is an accessory bundle that adds a top handle, rod support, and quick-release baseplate to a Komodo body in one purchase. It's aimed at RED Komodo and Komodo-X owners who want a rigged starting point for accessories rather than sourcing a top mount, handle, and baseplate individually. ARCA and ARRI dovetail interfaces throughout keep it compatible with the wider MID49 baseplate ecosystem.
- ARCA Top Mount for Komodo/Komodo-X/V-Raptor: Attaches to the camera's front 1/4-20 or rear M4 screw holes and accepts the included top handle and top plate.
- ARCA Top Handle with Rigging Points: A sliding top handle includes 1/4-20 and 3/8-16 threads with ARRI locating pins, M4x20mm threaded holes, and two hot shoe mounts.
- 15mm LW Rod Bracket and Baseplate: Includes a Rod Bracket for 15mm LW rod support and a Baseline 15mm LW quick-release baseplate with ARCA top and ARRI bottom dovetail interfaces.
- Compact Kit, 18oz Total: The full kit weighs 18.0oz (510g) at roughly 4.77 x 4.40 x 5.33in.
