Key Features
The Viltrox EPIC is a seven-lens PL-mount full-frame anamorphic set (25/35/50/65/75/100/135mm) built around a signature blue flare, giving it a classic anamorphic character that's visually distinct while remaining controlled on set. It's suited to cinematographers who want the traditional anamorphic flare look without unpredictable spill, across a full range of focal lengths from wide to telephoto. Matched mechanics and color across the set mean it can be dropped into a production alongside other EPIC variants without a mismatched look.
- Blue flare rendering: Signature blue streak adds a classic anamorphic character that stays visually controlled rather than overwhelming the frame.
- T2.0 maximum aperture: Most focal lengths open to T2.0, with the 65mm at T2.8 and 135mm at T2.4 for macro and telephoto framing.
- Retro color reproduction: Renders skin tones with organic warmth for refined, cinematic color accuracy.
- 1.33x anamorphic squeeze: Constant compression across all seven focal lengths keeps facial proportions natural during extraction.
- Minimized focus breathing: Reduces angle-of-view shift during focus pulls for precise control in dynamic scenes.
