At the heart of its optical excellence lies the ZEISS® T* anti-reflective coating, meticulously applied to suppress flare and ghosting, ensuring outstanding contrast, vibrant colors, and breathtaking resolution across the entire frame, even in challenging lighting conditions. A constant F4 maximum aperture is maintained throughout the zoom range, providing consistent exposure settings and enabling precise depth-of-field control for stunning visual storytelling. Furthermore, its circular 7-blade aperture renders beautifully smooth, natural-looking bokeh, adding a professional touch to portraits and subject isolation.

Designed for robust performance in the field, the Sony Vario-Tessar T* FE 24-70 mm F4 ZA OSS Full-frame Standard Zoom ZEISS Lens with Optical SteadyShot incorporates Optical SteadyShot image stabilization. This crucial feature effectively minimizes camera shake, allowing for sharper handheld shots in lower light or at slower shutter speeds, enhancing creative freedom without sacrificing image quality. The lens also boasts a dust and moisture-resistant design, providing reliable operation in less-than-ideal weather conditions. Despite its advanced optical formula and durable construction, this lens remains remarkably compact and lightweight at just 15.1 oz (426g), making it an ideal companion for extended shoots and travel.
