Key Features
The NiSi Cinema 4x5.65in Yellow Light Blocker (Natural Night) is a rectangular filter built to reduce light pollution in night sky footage shot near artificial light sources. By blocking the dominant yellow wavelengths from sodium-vapor and mercury-vapor lamps, it's aimed at cinematographers capturing astronomical or night exterior scenes near cities where sky glow competes with the image. It fits standard filter holders and matte boxes built for 4mm-thick rectangular filters.
- Blocks yellow light pollution wavelengths: Targets sodium-vapor, mercury-vapor, and low-CRI LED sources common in urban night skies.
- Improves astronomical visibility: Increases contrast and definition of visible objects against reduced glare from artificial lighting.
- 4mm rectangular format: Fits filter holders and matte boxes built for 4x5.65in rectangular filters.
- Optical glass construction: Built for clarity and color fidelity in night photography and cinematography.
