At the heart of the Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 400mm f/2.8E FL ED VR's exceptional image quality lies a sophisticated optical construction. Featuring two Fluorite (FL) elements, the lens achieves remarkable weight reduction without compromising sharpness or resolution. Paired with two Extra-Low Dispersion (ED) glass elements, it virtually eliminates chromatic aberrations, delivering images with stunning contrast and true-to-life color. The fast f/2.8 maximum aperture ensures brilliant low-light performance and exquisite background blur, allowing for dramatic subject isolation.

Designed for peak performance in critical moments, the Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 400mm f/2.8E FL ED VR integrates cutting-edge technologies. Nikon's advanced Vibration Reduction (VR) system provides up to 4 stops of image stabilization, critical for sharp handheld shots and video, even in challenging light. The Silent Wave Motor (AF-S) ensures fast, precise, and near-silent autofocus, while the E-type electromagnetic diaphragm guarantees consistent and accurate exposure control during high-speed continuous shooting. An Internal Focusing (IF) system maintains the lens's physical length, enhancing balance and enabling a minimum focus distance of just 8.53 ft. (2.6m).

Weighing in at a mere 134 oz. (3800g), the Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 400mm f/2.8E FL ED VR is more than just a lens; it's a professional tool meticulously crafted to push the boundaries of super-telephoto photography.
