Despite the product name citing 40Gbps, this is VigilLink's 48Gbps HDMI eARC-to-amplifier adapter, built to extract audio from an HDMI source or an ARC/eARC-enabled TV and route it to an older AV receiver that doesn't support eARC directly. It's HDMI 2.1 and HDCP 2.3 compliant, passing UHDTV resolutions up to 8K@60Hz through untouched while pulling out audio formats up to Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. CEC pass-through means your TV remote still controls both the source device and the amplifier's volume.
- HDMI eARC to amplifier audio extraction: routes HDMI or TV ARC/eARC audio to an older AV receiver.
- HDMI 2.1 / HDCP 2.3 compliant: passes video up to 8K@60Hz 4:2:0 12-bit or 4K@120Hz 4:4:4 12-bit untouched.
- High-end audio pass-through: LPCM 7.1CH, Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Atmos, DTS-HD Master, and DTS:X supported.
- CEC volume and source control: TV remote controls both the connected source and the amplifier's volume.
