The MID49 Upper Cage for Canon C80 is a form-fitting camera cage built to protect the C80 while adding standard rigging points across its body. It's aimed at cinema camera operators who need ARRI-standard mounting throughout their rig, rather than relying on the camera's limited built-in points. A replica of the Canon striped rosette even lets the camera's original handle stay attached.
- Full ARRI-Standard Threading: 1/4-20 and 3/8-16 holes with ARRI accessory pins, plus M4x20mm ARRI-spaced threaded holes in multiple positions.
- Top Accessory Rod with Mic Mount: A combination hot shoe, ARRI 3/8-16, and M4x20 rod holds the Canon mic hole pattern for the C80's original shock mount, plus a recess for the optional AB-4 XLR breakout.
- Top and Bottom ARCA Swiss Dovetails: Top ARCA dovetail accepts an ARCA Top Handle or Top Plate; the bottom ARCA dovetail attaches to a Baseline 15mm baseplate.
- HDMI Cable Protector: A dedicated HDMI protector clamps cables securely to prevent accidental disconnection.
- Compact, Lightweight Build: Weighs just 15.5 oz (438g) at 5.2 x 7.2 x 6.4in.
